Online Outreach Expanding

Through the month, Olivet’s online outreach will continue to expand, with multiple online Christian groups being set-up, as well as Bible Study and social media groups.

Significant efforts have been put into re-enforcing resources to expand online missions and outreach programs. Such was the success of the outreach groups, that in the coming months further expansion will take place.

Various Bible Studies are taking place throughout the week, with groups set-up for more introductory Bible Studies, as well as other more advanced lectures being held.

Already we have Bible Study groups focusing on Romans, as well as Genesis, and more are being prepared. It is hoped more campus fellowship groups can be set up online throughout the coming months – please pray for Olivet’s online outreach programs.

UK Conference Exhorts Importance Of Keeping God At The Centre

An online conference has seen church members exhorted to always make sure God is placed at the centre of their lives, as He is the one who alone can satisfy them.

“It’s necessary for us to make a breakthrough in our relationship with God, and always to seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit,” one of the conference leaders said.

He added, “Jesus died on the cross for sinners like us. This kind of love should be rooted in our hearts deeply, and we must let this be the strength to overcome every challenge in our lives.”

The conference also saw a time where various ministry leaders reported the work of God in their ministries over the last months.

By the grace of God many ministries reported excellent developments and growth, and new leaders were appointed to some expanding ministries.

Inspiration In The Early Church After Pentecost

Pentecost weekend proved to be a time filled with the Holy Spirit, with many members testifying the comfort, strength and inspiration that came upon them through the Word of God listened to during the weekend, as well as the extended times of prayer.

Despite the difficulties gathering during the current Covid-19 social distancing measures, the online Pentecost event proved very successful, with members able to unite in listening to the Word, and joining in small and large group prayer meetings online.

In the aftermath of the Pentecost gathering, we wish to now take inspiration from the Early Church and the fellowship of believers as described in Acts 2:42-47. Devoting ourselves to the Word, and prayer, as well as to fellowship in Christ, we wish to have glad and sincere hearts for every blessing the Lord has poured down upon us, and following the Early Church’s image, we now wish to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth.

Churches will be pushing in to share the gospel across the nation while co-working within their regions and Olivet Assembly leadership.
“While our mission, vision and goals and strategies to expand the mission in the United Kingdom are not necessarily new, the main challenge for the mission is to take concrete steps and action plans in the weeks ahead to match God’s desire for revival across the nation” said an OA representative.
Churches are setting their evangelism and program goals to guide believers toward greater commitment to Jesus Christ as church members and gaining a strong desire for living for God’s Kingdom.
Prayerful and diligent implementation of church growth strategies will be key across many church activities including ongling bible studies, outreach programs, establishment of fellowships and ministries. Communication between churches, regions and the denominational headquarters will be important in seeking a unified, yet diverse approach toward the mission.

“By trusting in God’s providence that has given us all we need to make progress, we aim to go with diligence and fervor to make our Pentecost gatherings a time that marks a point of great victory for the Lord in sharing the gospel and dream for God’s Kingdom to many people,” said the OA representative.
