OA’s team of UK mission staff are currently holding a 30 minute daily meeting to discuss mission progress, goals, and strategies.

In the latest meetings, mission staff were guided to continue to research about new social methods of connecting with new potential Bible Study students.  In particular, they discussed how to gather current and new students together, and how to build vessels for evangelism through the internet.

Exciting new courses are currently under development for the Olivet Leadership Institute.

OLI courses are being developed in the hope of bringing together emerging leaders from across the United Kingdom and Europe.

It is hoped that dozens of participants will gather for a three-day training course later in 2025 to equip them to serve with the unique gifts and talents that God has entrusted to them.

Meeting at the scenic Olivet Centre in Pilgrim Hall in East Sussex, participants will also be able to spend time in fellowship, listen to each other’s faith stories and hear about the mission situation in different countries.

The Olivet Leadership Institute is one of the education organisations of Olivet Assembly that focuses on training future leaders in Christian ministries.

The leadership institute was officially launched in January 2013 with the purpose to educate good Christian leaders in a more systematic way. The institute set its aims to provide the knowledge and skill sets to enter or establish God’s ministry and find success in the work. It is dedicated to serving members of churches and para-churches worldwide to meet their needs of becoming a leader for Christ.

Various Elim representative leaders from around the world will take it in turns in leading the prayer meetings, which will take place in different languages at different times worldwide.

The prayer relay will be held online through the month, with church members around the world being able to choose which prayer meeting and language to join.

“Elim will open online prayer meeting worldwide for members who want to receive the grace and the power of the Holy Spirit during this time!” announced an Elim HQ spokesperson.

Let us unite in prayer and together call on the power of the Holy Spirit to pour its mercy and abundant grace on us.

Through the month, Olivet’s online outreach will continue to expand, with multiple online Christian groups being set-up, as well as Bible Study and social media groups.

Significant efforts have been put into re-enforcing resources to expand online missions and outreach programs.  Such was the success of the outreach groups, that in the coming months further expansion will take place.

Various Bible Studies are taking place throughout the week, with groups set-up for more introductory Bible Studies, as well as other more advanced lectures being held.

Already we have Bible Study groups focusing on Romans, as well as Genesis, and more are being prepared.  It is hoped more campus fellowship groups can be set up online throughout the coming months – please pray for Olivet’s online outreach programs.

Among recent discussions were plans to create hobby groups, as well as other fellowship and Bible study group gatherings.

This is an important time where our mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and the meaning of the cross with as many people as possible.  Through the organised gatherings and fellowships it is hoped that many can be attracted to find out more about the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and that more devoted Christians can be raised in His name.

An online conference has seen church members exhorted to always make sure God is placed at the centre of their lives, as He is the one who alone can satisfy them.

“It’s necessary for us to make a breakthrough in our relationship with God, and always to seek to be guided by the Holy Spirit,” one of the conference leaders said.

He added, “Jesus died on the cross for sinners like us. This kind of love should be rooted in our hearts deeply, and we must let this be the strength to overcome every challenge in our lives.”

The conference also saw a time where various ministry leaders reported the work of God in their ministries over the last months.

By the grace of God many ministries reported excellent developments and growth, and new leaders were appointed to some expanding ministries.

Despite the difficulties gathering during the current Covid-19 social distancing measures, the online Pentecost event proved very successful, with members able to unite in listening to the Word, and joining in small and large group prayer meetings online.

In the aftermath of the Pentecost gathering, we wish to now take inspiration from the Early Church and the fellowship of believers as described in Acts 2:42-47.  Devoting ourselves to the Word, and prayer, as well as to fellowship in Christ, we wish to have glad and sincere hearts for every blessing the Lord has poured down upon us, and following the Early Church’s image, we now wish to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth.

All church members are called to spend distinguished time throughout the month to pray and study the Word of God, and to prepare their hearts for the time of Pentecost.

Pentecost was a time when the Holy Spirit came down upon the followers of Christ, and a new era of the Early Church was opened up.  The resulting mission expanded the knowledge of the Good News of the Gospel to countless souls, and the news of salvation through Jesus Christ was brought to many new cities and countries.

This time is also very meaningful for us in this era, and as the followers of Jesus in this modern era, we also wish to pray earnestly for the power of the Holy Spirit to dwell with us, that God may use us for His Kingdom and His righteousness.
