OA’s team of UK mission staff are currently holding a 30 minute daily meeting to discuss mission progress, goals, and strategies.

In the latest meetings, mission staff were guided to continue to research about new social methods of connecting with new potential Bible Study students.  In particular, they discussed how to gather current and new students together, and how to build vessels for evangelism through the internet.

Among recent discussions were plans to create hobby groups, as well as other fellowship and Bible study group gatherings.

This is an important time where our mission is to share the Good News of Jesus Christ and the meaning of the cross with as many people as possible.  Through the organised gatherings and fellowships it is hoped that many can be attracted to find out more about the love and grace of Jesus Christ, and that more devoted Christians can be raised in His name.

Despite the difficulties gathering during the current Covid-19 social distancing measures, the online Pentecost event proved very successful, with members able to unite in listening to the Word, and joining in small and large group prayer meetings online.

In the aftermath of the Pentecost gathering, we wish to now take inspiration from the Early Church and the fellowship of believers as described in Acts 2:42-47.  Devoting ourselves to the Word, and prayer, as well as to fellowship in Christ, we wish to have glad and sincere hearts for every blessing the Lord has poured down upon us, and following the Early Church’s image, we now wish to take the Good News of Jesus Christ to the ends of the Earth.

All church members are called to spend distinguished time throughout the month to pray and study the Word of God, and to prepare their hearts for the time of Pentecost.

Pentecost was a time when the Holy Spirit came down upon the followers of Christ, and a new era of the Early Church was opened up.  The resulting mission expanded the knowledge of the Good News of the Gospel to countless souls, and the news of salvation through Jesus Christ was brought to many new cities and countries.

This time is also very meaningful for us in this era, and as the followers of Jesus in this modern era, we also wish to pray earnestly for the power of the Holy Spirit to dwell with us, that God may use us for His Kingdom and His righteousness.

Annually, the Easter Retreat would be a time where many of OA’s church members gathered together for prayer, reflections, Bible studies, services, and fellowship activities.  It is one of the most important times of the year where members reflect and meditate deeply on the sacrifice of Jesus Christ, and the deep meaning of the cross in our lives and this world.

However, with Easter drawing closer, it has become clear that a regular schedule and gathering will not be possible this year.

Therefore, plans are being drawn up as quickly as possible to organise an entirely online retreat for all church members and families to join.  The schedule will try to implement online Bible studies, virtual service broadcasts, as well as prayer meetings at the core of its timetable.

It is clear that a fully online Easter Retreat will be unlike any retreat OA has held before, however, the pastoral committee believes that the schedule can be rich in the Word, deep in prayer, and more important than anything, overflowing with the grace of God and the work of the Holy Spirit.

More details will be announced to church members as soon as possible.

Pilgrim Hall in East Sussex, UK hosted an historic WOA Leadership Conference in April 2019.

The Olivet Centre in UK has hosted an historic Leadership Conference in April at its Pilgrim Hall location in East Sussex.

Around 120 participants from across Europe and the world joined the conference, which saw various ministry-focused conferences and meetings take place through the 5 days.

During the event, the property, which was newly acquired in 2018, hosted a Dedication Service, with the focus to dedicate the premises to doing the works of God, and letting the name of Jesus Christ be known.

In the aftermath of the conference, many delegates offered testimonies of how God had refreshed their hearts during the time together, and that they had renewed strength to push on in the various projects and ministry works they conduct throughout Europe and beyond.

Elim International has commemorated its 10 years of its holy ministry in a service held in Dover, New York.  The Olivet Center Chapel was filled with more than 100 people from the US, Europe and Asia regions.

The Praise and Opening Prayer were led by the Jubilee Ministry. Meanwhile, Pastor Hannah, Elim Dover Representative, delivered the sermon from Exodus 15:27, where the word “Elim” first appears in the Bible.

Pastor Hannah shared God’s guidance to lead the Israelites out of Egypt. God never abandoned the Israelites and led them to a place named Elim, a restful dwelling with 12 springs and 70 palm trees.

She testified about her experience of how God wipes away every tear that we have, as mentioned in Revelation 7:17.

She added that every Elim minister has her/his own hurt and tears but they were healed by God and are now being used as prayer ministers who comfort and heal others.

Following the sermon, Pastor Eliana gave a brief introduction of the Elim Ministry’s mission and history. The participants watched a short video presentation that explained Elim’s current ministry works and its vision for the future.

The event included a time of prayer to give thanks for the amazing guidance and blessings God has provided over the last 10 years.

Elim wishes to give thanks to all those have served and continued to pray for the ministry. May Elim be an oasis of healing and restoration of many individuals, churches, and society in the new year.

Congregants from across Olivet Assembly’s UK churches have joined together to celebrate a 2-day Christmas Retreat at the recently acquired Europe OC.
At the retreat, Bible study lectures and services were held focusing on the meaning of the birth of Jesus.

The first day commenced with an opening service where a message from 1 John 1:1-10 was preached.  The day also saw various fellowship, games and exercise activities take place. Bible lectures were also delivered focusing on Matthew 2, and in the evening there were several children performances, and readings from Christmas poems, as well as several music choreographies. The opening day ended with an extended time to meditate, and a prayer meeting.

The second day of the retreat saw a sermon delivered from Luke 2:1-20 focusing on the story of the birth of Jesus, and how this applies and impacts our lives even today.

In the afternoon, there were various fellowship activities, and conferences were held to discuss and make plans for some of the major challenges facing the churches, and for the churches’ development over 2019.

United Kingdom is rich with a Christian background and history which impacted some of the best missionaries on earth to expand mission throughout the entire world and Olivet Assembly wishes to continue the expansion of mission, para churches and other ministries that are under the umbrella of Olivet assembly and to revive the following cities to bring the true light to this country once again.
