MAIN DUTIES: This role will involve overseeing the development and coordination of an active Men’s Ministry to build a community of godly men among a congregation of English and Mandarin-language speakers.  Mentoring and holding discipleship workshops with the male congregants of the church, and helping them to grow spiritually will be core activities every week.  Preaching services in both Mandarin and English, as well as providing Bible Studies, theological counselling, organising and overseeing special events and activities for men will also be key responsibilities.  The permanent role will also involve holding men’s social activities and outreach events, as well as locally-based projects that will serve and help the local community.  Coordinating the Men’s Ministry to complement the work of the wider church, its Senior Pastors and other members of the church leadership team will be important.

LOCATION: Pilgrim Hall, Uckfield, East Sussex

SALARY: £28,000 per annum; accommodation and all meals provided free of charge.

SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE: The successful applicant must have a Masters of Divinity (M.Div) degree or equivalent.  Must be an ordained Christian minister from an Evangelical church denomination background with a minimum of 5 years experience preaching and teaching within an Evangelical Church.  The applicant should be able to demonstrate proficiency in Mandarin and English.  It is desirable that the successful applicant be able to demonstrate experience and knowledge of assisting in the organising of full church services, mid-week services, desirably in the World Olivet Assembly (WOA) denomination service format, or any other Evangelical Church denomination service format.  Experience in being part of a team to provide spiritual counselling and guidance would be beneficial, as would be experience in leading Bible Studies, and assisting to organise church cell group formats for social activities and local Christian outreach and community serving events.
